Work Environment

The position is onsite at our Port Saint Lucie rehabilitation facility, where you will collaborate closely with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations of pediatric patients to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Administer remedial treatments and therapeutic interventions that address various developmental and rehabilitative needs.
• Provide direct clinical care, including patient screenings, evaluations, ongoing treatment, and training for family members regarding rehabilitation processes and home programming.
• Collaborate with office staff and other disciplines to coordinate patient care effectively, ensuring seamless communication and service delivery.
• Maintain open and effective communication with pediatric patients and their families about treatment progress, challenges, and relevant home programs.
• Make referrals to appropriate services and resources, including other health professionals and community agencies as needed.
• Engage in consultations with physicians to discuss patient progress and develop a cohesive treatment strategy while keeping accurate clinical records.
• Focus on restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing the onset of permanent disabilities through tailored physical therapy interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on pediatric patients, creating an engaging and supportive environment for children of varying ages and conditions. You will work with families to empower them in their child's healing process, ensuring that therapy aligns with their home environment and day-to-day challenges. Our patients represent a broad spectrum of needs, and your expertise will be vital in crafting individualized care strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida Physical Therapy license is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting; experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques.
• Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to pediatric care.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate specialized knowledge in an accessible manner.
• Experience with hospital medicine practices and protocols.

Preferred Experience

While clinical experience with pediatric patients is required, we highly value candidates who possess additional certifications in specialized therapy practices or have a diverse skill set in working with neurological and orthopedic conditions in children. Familiarity with community resources and outpatient therapy solutions will also be beneficial in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary in the range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
