Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to join our orthopedic outpatient practice at Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center in Clifton, Virginia. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to support patients in their journey to regain mobility and achieve optimal function. You will be engaged in various aspects of rehabilitation, including promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation, ultimately enhancing our clients' quality of life and movement potential.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at our modern rehabilitation center in Clifton, Virginia, where collaboration and patient-centered care are prioritized. As part of an established team, you will work closely with two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA) to deliver comprehensive care. The team ethos fosters a supportive atmosphere promoting professional development and sharing best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage an efficient patient load, averaging one patient per hour, ensuring each session is productive and tailored to the patient's goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities and manual therapy techniques to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
  • Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting care plans as necessary based on outcomes and patient feedback.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress thoroughly in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
  • Educate patients on rehabilitation exercises and strategies to promote independence in their recovery process.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
  • Promote overall wellness by developing fitness and wellness programs that cater to the individual needs of patients.
  • Motivate and support patients throughout their therapy journey to maximize their rehabilitation outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily focuses on orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We cater to a diverse adult population, tailoring our approaches to the specific needs of each patient. Our goal is to empower them to take charge of their health through individualized care and proven therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
  • Clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against licensure.
  • Proficient in using EMR software, specifically WebPT.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and exercise prescription.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with patients and the healthcare team.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
