Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement customized treatment plans based on individual evaluations, incorporating evidence-based practices and addressing each patient's unique needs.

  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment provided, and progress toward rehabilitation goals to meet compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Monitor and document changes in patients' conditions that may require adjustments in the treatment plan or additional consultations with medical professionals.

  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, consulting with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare team members to enhance patient care and outcomes.

  • Serve as an educator for patients and their families, effectively communicating the importance of the therapeutic process and the role of home exercises in recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions that impact mobility and function. Your role is vital in helping these individuals regain their independence and improve their daily living activities through targeted physical therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.

  • Current and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience working in orthopedic physical therapy or a similar rehabilitation setting.

  • Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during treatment.

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits
