Work Environment

Working onsite at our Rehabilitation Facility, you will be part of a supportive and engaging team comprised of experienced clinicians who share a common goal: to empower patients through rehabilitation and therapy. Our facility hosts a variety of therapy rooms equipped with the latest rehabilitation tools and technologies, including therapeutic exercise equipment and modalities for pain management. Your work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for each patient, taking into account their medical history, physical condition, and rehabilitation goals. Utilize assessment tools to determine the most effective treatment strategies.
  • Develop customized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, continuously modifying these plans as necessary to adapt to patient progress or changes in condition.
  • Implement therapy protocols with precision, ensuring that all interventions align with current clinical guidelines and patient-centered care practices.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately, including evaluation results, treatment sessions, and discharge plans, in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment goals as needed.
  • Engage in discharge planning, ensuring that patients transition smoothly to home or follow-up care, with clear instructions and resources provided to them.
  • Participate in facility meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute to service improvement.
  • Maintain high standards of communication with patients, their families, and your colleagues, fostering a respectful and trusting therapeutic relationship.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily treat orthopedic patient populations, including individuals recovering from surgery, those dealing with chronic pain, and athletes rehabilitating from sports-related injuries. Your direct involvement will greatly impact their recovery journeys, as you guide patients through targeted exercises, manual therapy, and pain management techniques.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
  • A valid physical therapy license issued by the State of Florida.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist is required, candidates with experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy will be prioritized. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is also beneficial for effective documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits
