Work EnvironmentThe Physical Therapist will work onsite within the dynamic environment of our rehabilitation center. This role involves collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team including nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapy assistants. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:
- Directing and implementing individualized physical therapy treatments focused on preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function.
- Overseeing and mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure they effectively carry out the treatment plans.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' functional levels, utilizing diagnostic tests of muscles, nerves, joints, and overall abilities to tailor specific therapy programs.
- Evaluating patients' home environments to make personalized recommendations that facilitate their independence.
- Administering therapeutic exercises and utilizing a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, traction, and functional activities.
- Adjusting and fitting prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending modifications as necessary to enhance client mobility.
- Documenting all clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members during case conferences to develop, evaluate, and modify treatment plans effectively.
- Instructing clients and their families on the proper use and maintenance of physical therapy devices, advocating for optimal recovery strategies.
- Continuously observing and reporting any changes in clients' conditions to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Our Physical Therapist will work primarily with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, individuals suffering from chronic pain, and clients needing rehabilitative support following injuries. QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida.
- Current CPR certification.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders.
