Position Overview

Willpower Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our vibrant team at our rehabilitation facility located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Work Environment

You will work onsite at our rehabilitation facility located in the picturesque city of Charlottesville, known for its rich history and beautiful landscapes. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies and a team-oriented approach, offering a collaborative atmosphere that encourages communication and the sharing of best practices. Our standard operating hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a predictable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to state practice acts, ensuring compliance with regulations governing physical therapy practice and supervision.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess functional limitations and disabilities, and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
• Implement rehabilitation protocols that are rooted in current best practices and are tailored to the evolving health care landscape.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including initial evaluations, daily encounter notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed for comprehensive patient management.
• Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care to support patients in reaching their recovery goals.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss patient care, access initiatives, and share insights on removing barriers to treatment access.
• Maintain up-to-date training in accordance with corporate policies and state, local, and federal regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals requiring outpatient orthopedic services, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. In this role, you will engage with diverse patients, utilizing both your technical skills and empathy to create an environment that fosters trust and healing.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR Certification.

Preferred Experience

Experience with electronic health record systems and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities are highly desirable. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced environment will serve you well in this role.
