Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop personalized treatment plans following injuries, surgeries, or health conditions.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques—such as therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual therapy, and electrical modalities—to enhance patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, detailing treatment methods, patient responses, and progress toward achieving health and wellness goals.
• Regularly reassess treatment effectiveness and modify therapeutic plans as necessary in collaboration with the patient and interdisciplinary health team.
• Educate patients and their families regarding home exercise protocols, assistive devices, and effective recovery practices.
• Attend professional development workshops and participate in continuing education to maintain high standards of practice and stay abreast of industry advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves a diverse patient population, including children and adults facing mobility challenges due to various conditions such as post-operative recovery, chronic pain syndromes, neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals regain their independence and improve their functional capabilities through skilled and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• A valid Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and other team members.
• Competence in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer software for documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong adaptability and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
