Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations of patients with a focus on orthopedic conditions to assess their functional abilities and limitations.
  • Develop individualized and goal-oriented treatment plans based on the evaluation outcomes, patient history, and clinical guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy techniques, tailored exercise programs, and various modalities designed to alleviate pain and enhance physical function.
  • Educate patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and strategies for injury prevention, creating actionable home exercise plans that promote ongoing rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, occupational therapists, and other health professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care, sharing insights from treatment progress.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation that complies with healthcare regulations, ensuring accuracy in patient records and treatment notes for effective care continuity.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed of the latest advances in orthopedic physical therapy practice and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus primarily on patients suffering from a range of orthopedic issues, including but not limited to sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, arthritis, and general musculoskeletal pain. You will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient demographics, fostering rehabilitation in both young athletes and older adults, thus enhancing the overall quality of life for those you treat.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
  • A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
  • Strong knowledge of kinesiology, anatomy, and therapeutic techniques relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to connect effectively with patients and their families.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage patient caseloads and documentation efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
  • Experience utilizing specific therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care and track progress.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain these certifications before starting.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers competitive compensation in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
