Work EnvironmentThis position is based onsite in our Arlington outpatient office, a 5,000 square foot facility specifically designed for sports medicine and orthopedic care. Our clinic features modern treatment rooms, a rehabilitation area equipped with advanced therapeutic technology, and a welcoming atmosphere conducive to healing. You will be part of a collaborative team consisting of experienced physical therapists and support staff, working together to provide high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to establish individualized patient treatment plans targeted towards specific rehabilitation goals.
- Administer therapeutic modalities, manual therapy, and exercise programs, tailoring approaches based on patient needs and progress.
- Schedule, manage, and maintain efficient patient flow by seeing one patient every 40 minutes, ensuring ample time for effective treatment and follow-up.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and prevention strategies to help them make informed decisions about their care.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in compliance with all documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, athletic trainers, and occupational therapists to optimize patient outcomes.
- Promote healthy lifestyle habits through patient education that emphasizes the importance of exercise, nutrition, and overall wellness.
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions to enhance patient care strategies and share knowledge with colleagues.
You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including athletes and individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery or injuries. Our patients often require rehabilitation that focuses on enhancing their balance, strength, and overall functional capacity. With a commitment to treat both commercial insurance and private pay patients, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their recovery journeys.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy; a Master's (MSPT) or Doctorate (DPT) is preferred.
- A valid Virginia State license to practice Physical Therapy is required.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting, demonstrating the ability to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Exceptional clinical skills with a strong knowledge base in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse patient population and collaborate with a healthcare team.
- Strong organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a dedication to providing evidence-based care.
- Experience in a sports medicine facility is a plus.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline documentation practices.
- Experience in developing tailored fitness and wellness programs for individual patients.
The annual salary for this full-time role ranges from USD 80,000 to 95,000, based on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
