Elaya Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team in Washington, Washington. Work EnvironmentThe physical therapist will work directly on-site within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, equipped with the latest therapeutic technologies and resources. Our work hours are structured from Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Physical Therapist at Elaya, your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgical procedures to create tailored treatment plans.
- Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as exercise regimens, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress, ensuring adherence to treatment objectives, and making necessary adjustments to plans based on ongoing evaluations.
- Educating and training patients, their families, and caregivers on proper techniques and the use of any recommended assistive devices to facilitate independence and safety in daily activities.
- Staying current with professional knowledge through workshops, medical literature, and participation in professional organizations to provide the highest standard of care.
The role of Physical Therapist encompasses working with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and the elderly, each presenting unique challenges and needs. You will develop strong relationships with your patients, guiding them through their rehabilitation journeys, whether they are recovering from athletic injuries, chronic pain syndromes, post-surgical conditions, or neurological disorders.
QualificationsTo thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- A valid State License to practice Physical Therapy.
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a similar setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in computer systems and documentation software pertinent to patient management.
- A flexible and adaptable personality to meet various patient needs and treatment settings.
While the required experience is two years, candidates with additional expertise in specific therapy modalities or populations, as well as those who have participated in mentorship or training roles, will be highly regarded. Experience with chronic pain management and knowledge of contemporary therapeutic technologies are advantageous.
