Work EnvironmentThe position is onsite at our welcoming and well-equipped rehabilitation center located in the heart of Appomattox, Virginia. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients including detailed assessments of their medical history, functional status, and physical capability, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Clearly communicate evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their active involvement in goal-setting and care decisions.
- Implement treatment protocols while adapting to patient-specific needs and the evolving healthcare landscape, ensuring optimal outcomes.
- Engage in interdisciplinary consultations with other healthcare providers to address any changes in patients' conditions and update care plans accordingly.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient care activities, including initial evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and follow-up care.
- Manage your schedule effectively to meet productivity benchmarks while maintaining a focus on providing individualized patient care.
- Participate in marketing initiatives to promote clinic services within the community and foster a comprehensive approach to community health.
- Contribute to departmental goals through active participation in team projects and compliance with regulatory standards.

In this role, you will work with a broad spectrum of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. Qualifications- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
- A valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex information in an accessible manner.
We value applicants with at least two years of clinical experience, particularly those who have worked with an outpatient population. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems can give you an edge as we utilize technology to enhance patient management and streamline documentation.
