Accounting Manager Consultant

Financial Additions is partnering with a client seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Consultant for an 8-month contract in Irvine, CA. This role could transition over to the leadership team as a controller on a permanent basis with matching compensation for the right candidate.
Position Summary: This position will oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, compliance, and process improvement initiatives while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Oversee general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
• Review project accounting, WIP reports, progress billings, and contract-related activity
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and tax requirements
• Support audits, fixed assets, and sales & use tax reconciliations
• Assist with ERP enhancements and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Strong GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger experience
• Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems (Infor M3 preferred) and advanced Excel skills
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational improvements
Preferred Experience:
• Large enterprise organizations ($500M+ revenue)
• Complex multi-entity accounting environments
• Shared services, high-volume operations, or publicly traded companies in the manufacturing, construction or distribution field.
