Candidates for the Chief AI Officer position at the company should have a proven track record in shipping AI products that are both reliable and accurate. Deep, hands-on experience in generative AI, modern language models, and related technologies is essential. The role requires the ability to work across different business areas, including journalism, engineering, advertising, and subscriptions, and to partner with diverse teams to drive the AI strategy. Executive-level judgment, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to accuracy and truth are also key attributes.
