About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Individual and Institutional Giving to lead a significant and mission-driven philanthropic organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for a team of approximately 20, with a focus on institutional, planned, and individual giving, and will be accountable for a substantial annual revenue target. This role is pivotal in the company's growth strategy, requiring a leader who can set and execute revenue goals, build and manage a robust donor pipeline, and ensure the team is equipped to meet the demands of the role. The VP will not only be a revenue leader but also a systems leader, with a strong emphasis on team development, coaching, and the use of data and technology to drive performance. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role, and a proven track record in a revenue-generating capacity. While experience in development is preferred, a background in enterprise sales, executive search, or a similar field is also considered. The role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships, and a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape. The VP will be expected to partner with cross-functional teams, including digital revenue and operations, and align fundraising efforts with the company's mission and goals. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, and a background in media or public broadcasting is a plus.
