<p><b>Apply for tomorrow’s opportunity today, with Volt </b></p> <p><b>Volt is immediately hiring a Fleet Mechanic in Albuquerque, NM.</b></p> <p><b>1<sup>st</sup> Shift Opportunity - Monday – Friday.</b></p> <p><b>As a Fleet Mechanic, you will: </b></p> <ul> <li>Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on drilling rigs, pump pulling rigs, heavy trucks, trailers, pumps, compressors, generators and auxiliary equipment</li> <li>Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues efficiently</li> <li>Fabrication and replace hydraulic hoses</li> <li>Perform MIG/stick field welding</li> <li>Inspect equipment for safety, wear, and compliance with DOT and company standards</li> <li>Perform annual DOT truck inspections and maintain associated records</li> <li>Maintain accurate service, repair, and inspection records in software platforms</li> <li>Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime and support field operations</li> <li>Respond to breakdowns in the field as needed, including emergency repairs</li> <li>Ensure proper use and care of tools, parts inventory, and shop equipment</li> <li>Follow all safety policies, environmental regulations, and OSHA requirements</li> <li>Regularly communicate equipment status, repair timelines, and maintenance needs to operations leadership</li> <li>Establish and maintain relationships with specialized service & repair vendors</li> <li>Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and dealers on warranty repairs or recalls</li> <li>Order and manage parts inventory</li> <li>Maintain repair shop environment, equipment & supplies</li> </ul> <p><b>This is a Full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.</b></p> <p><b>Required Skills & Qualifications:</b></p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification preferred</li> <li>5+ years of experience as a fleet or heavy equipment mechanic (water well drilling, oil & gas, construction, or mining preferred)</li> <li>Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and PTO-driven equipment</li> <li>Experience working with drilling rigs, pump pulling rigs, water trucks, flatbeds, and support vehicles is highly desirable</li> <li>Valid driver’s license and MVD record review</li> <li>Read schematics, manuals, and utilize diagnostic tools</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to use computer software for maintenance, ordering & research</li> </ul> <p><b>Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour</b></p> <p>*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.</p> <p>Qualified candidates should <b>APPLY NOW </b>for immediate consideration!
