Operations ManagerKoniag Operations Services LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Operations Manager with a Top-Secret Security clearance to support KOS and our government customer in Arlington, VA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance to support KOS and our government customer. The Operations Manager will serve as the primary authority for committing the Contractor's labor force and resources (including tools, materials, parts, and other materials) to meet the overall Contractor Furnished Services (CFS) requirements of the Contract. The Operations Manager will provide strategic oversight and day-to-day leadership for all facility operations and maintenance activities.Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Direct and manage all operations and maintenance (O&M) support services for a large, complex government facilityServe as the primary point of contact and liaison between KOS, subcontractors, and government client representativesCommit and allocate contractor labor force, resources, tools, materials, parts, and equipment to meet contract requirements and service level agreementsDevelop, implement, and monitor operational strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient facility operationsOversee multiple functional areas including custodial services, maintenance, logistics, supply management, and support servicesManage operational budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality standardsEnsure full compliance with all contract specifications, government regulations, safety standards, and quality control requirementsLead, supervise, and mentor department supervisors and staff across multiple service linesConduct regular facility inspections and operational assessments to identify improvement opportunities and ensure contract complianceDevelop and maintain comprehensive staffing plans to meet operational demands and contract obligationsCoordinate emergency response procedures and manage crisis situations affecting facility operationsPrepare and present operational reports, performance metrics, and status updates to senior management and government clientsIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service deliveryManage contractor and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and materialsEducation and Experience: Required:Associate's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related discipline; OR equivalent specialized training/certifications in operations and maintenance support services and/or facilities managementMinimum of 15 years of experience in operations and maintenance (O&M) support services and/or facilities managementMinimum of 5 years of experience providing operations management services to large facilities or complex operationsRequired Skills and Competencies:Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to commit labor force and resources to meet contract requirementsExtensive knowledge of facilities management principles, operations and maintenance procedures, and industry best practicesStrong strategic planning and operational execution abilities with experience managing large-scale facility operationsExceptional communication skills - both written and oral - with the ability to effectively interface with government clients, senior management, and diverse stakeholder groupsComprehensive understanding of contract management, including CFS requirements, compliance obligations, and performance metricsStrong financial acumen with experience managing operational budgets, cost controls, and resource allocationExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to address complex operational challengesProven ability to lead, develop, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams and supervisorsStrong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirementsProficiency with facility management systems, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and respond effectively to changing priorities and emergency situationsDetail-oriented with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvementClearance Requirement:Active Top-Secret clearance in good standingDesired Skills and Competencies:Bachelor's degree or higher in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP)Experience managing government contracts, particularly in DoD or federal agency environmentsKnowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and contract compliance requirementsExperience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologiesPrior military facilities management or base operations experienceAdvanced security clearance eligibility (TS/SCI)Experience with energy management, sustainability initiatives, and green building operationsOur Equal Employment Opportunity Policy The company is an equal opportunity employer.
