We're looking for an Executive Director of Admissions to join our team!

The Director of Admissions is responsible for oversight of all campus operations including but not limited to: education, admissions, financial aid, student accounting, student services, career services, clinic, facilities and administration.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages all campus employees to established performance standards and achievement of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Maintains employee files and employee documentation according to policy and procedure.
  • Provides and oversees all employee counseling, coaching, training and termination. Works as a liaison with HR to ensure appropriate approvals have been obtained and paperwork is complete and compliant.
  • Prepares campus weekly statistics and goals and attends weekly corporate calls for Admissions and Education.
  • Conducts weekly staff meetings, managers meetings and other departmental meetings and trainings as necessary.
  • Works with Corporate Directors to formulate departmental plans of actions to meet standards which have fallen below company benchmarks/ goals.
  • Responsible for knowledge, staff training and adherence to all company established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for knowledge of and adherence to the Employee handbook.
  • Responsible for standards of accreditation being maintained.
  • Responsible to ensure that all local state and city rules and regulations are followed, and the campus has all appropriate and valid licenses, certifications etc.
  • Responsible to monitor and manage to the campus P&L.
  • Ensures campus Bad Debt is kept to an acceptable level and strategizes with all departments to impact.
  • Ensures student accounts/balances are collected upon at the established intervals per individual student contracts/arrangements.
  • Responsible for the oversight and function of the admissions department.
  • Responsible for the management of all education management; administrative staff and faculty.
  • Ensures staff and faculty have appropriate qualifications and maintain appropriate licensure per job description.
  • Monitors all campus reporting as provided by corporate team. Reports any discrepancy or errors up-line to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Works with management, administrative staff and faculty to meet company goals for student retention, timely matriculation and completion.
  • Monitor daily, weekly and term student attendance.
  • Monitor daily, weekly and term student satisfactory academic progress.
  • Responsible to ensure students/ graduates obtain state licensure before or immediately upon graduation from their program.
  • Maintains impeccable facility.
  • Schedules repairs and maintenance of building, equipment and supplies.
  • Ensures all licenses for the city and state are kept active. Yearly inspections are performed, and all certificates are posted and archived appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with for-profit institutions.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Can function in a variety of situations and under pressure.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to effectively communicate information, ideas, concepts, rules, regulations, policies and procedures when speaking and writing.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and able to speak effectively before groups of people.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as compliance information from accreditation agencies, policies, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledgeable of catalog and programs.
  • Familiar with standards and regulations of NACCAS, ACCSC and or COMTA, as applicable.
  • Familiar with regulations of U.S. Department of Education.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute ratios and percentages, as well as ability to calculate and manage budgets.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
