School-Based Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Certified Medication

• Provide one-on-one support to students during the school day.
• Assist students with activities of daily living, including toileting, dressing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, positioning, and transfers.
• Assist with medication administration in accordance with certification, physician orders, agency policies, and school district guidelines, when assigned.
• Encourage student independence while promoting safety, comfort, and dignity.
• Observe, document, and promptly report changes in a student's condition to the supervising nurse.
• Assist students in safely participating in classroom instruction, therapies, and school activities.
• Follow each student's individualized care plan and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with nurses, school staff, therapists, and families to support each student's health and educational success.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification is required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience working with children or individuals with complex medical needs is preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality care.

Requirements

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
• Meet all school district onboarding requirements.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
