Carondelet Medical Group is seeking a dedicated General Cardiologist to join their established, physician-led practice in Tucson, Arizona. This full-time, employed position offers the opportunity to focus on patient care with administrative burdens handled by centralized support. The role is primarily based at St. Joseph's Hospital, a nationally recognized cardiac center, providing a clinical environment with institutional strength and a culture that values physician autonomy.

Practice Info

  • Physician-led cardiology practice with deep roots in Southern Arizona.
  • Primary practice home at St. Joseph's Hospital, a nationally recognized cardiac center.
  • St. Joseph's Hospital holds Comprehensive Stroke Center certification, Chest Pain Center accreditation, and Cardiac Arrest Receiving Center designation.
  • Multi-provider physician and APP team.
  • Centralized professional services support for billing, credentialing, HR, compliance, and marketing.
  • Dedicated structural heart team supporting high-risk patients, cardiogenic shock, structural/valvular disease, and STEMI/shock transfer management.

Responsibilities

  • Handle clinic census of 24-30 patients.
  • Manage hospital census of 10-25 patients.
  • Perform hospital consults.
  • Interpret echocardiograms.
  • Interpret EKGs.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time employment.
  • 35-45 hours per clinic week.
  • Shared 7-days-on hospital rotation.
  • No calls after 5 PM during hospital rotation.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
  • Arizona medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
