Accounting Technician

Include but not limited to:

• Apply understanding of standard general ledgers (SGL) and basic financial documents such as travel orders, invoices, receiving reports and employee pay documents.
• Review undelivered orders and payables for a variety of reasons to include outstanding balances, payments, delivery dates, amendments and proper costing.
• Record payments from obligating documents in the Finance package to reflect accurate obligation balance.
• Utilize computer programs under Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Review Agent Cashier daily deposits to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Process payment vendors/customers after accuracy verification of supporting documents.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, creating formulas, sorting, filtering, formatting, and creating pivot tables.
• Utilize Microsoft Outlook to manage emails and contacts, schedule appointments, set reminders, follow-up, etc.
• Maintains files in accordance with local procedures, and supports audit readiness by ensuring documentation is properly labeled, retained, and retrievable.
• Reconcile Agent Cashier Replenishments.

Promotion Potential:

The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
