2nd Shift Wire Cloth-Multi-Skilled position
We have openings at a highly respected employer in Luck, WI, and they are known for providing long-term career stability. As a Wire Cloth-Multiskilled Operator you are responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of industrial-grade woven wire and slot wire screens. This role requires the ability to move between different stations.
Shift and Pay:
Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Assembly: Set up and operate machinery to weave or assemble wire cloth according to "traveler" specifications and blueprints.
Finishing Operations: Perform secondary processes such as "shearing" (cutting wire to size), "hooking" (forming the edges for installation), and "flashing" (removing excess material).
Quality Inspection: Use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify that wire diameters and mesh openings (ranging from very fine to 6-inch openings) meet strict industrial tolerances.
Machine Setup: Adjust loom settings, tensioners, and crimping machines based on the specific wire gauge (high-carbon, stainless, or oil-tempered steel).
