Dental Assistant
Job Description
We're looking for a dental assistant who is as passionate about the patient experience as they are about clinical excellence — someone who takes pride in their craft, genuinely connects with people, and is always looking for ways to grow.
Who We Are
At Seneca Smiles, we're not your average dental office, and we're proud of it. Our biomimetic philosophy is rooted in minimally invasive techniques that prioritize saving as much of the natural tooth as possible. Our commitment to providing care the right way extends to every corner of our practice. Our culture is built on encouraging individual and team growth, and we invest in the people who share that vision. We believe every patient deserves a seamless, personalized experience, and that starts with a team that trusts one another and feels trusted in return. If you're looking for a place where your work has real meaning, where relationships matter, and where you can grow alongside a team that truly cares, we'd love to meet you.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and a true growth mindset — this is the one non-negotiable. We can teach skills; we can't teach character.
- Dental assisting experience is preferred but not required — we're willing to train the right person
- X-ray certification is a plus but not required; we'll support you in getting certified if you don't have it yet
- Comfort with technology — experience with 3D scanners, digital imaging, or practice management software is a bonus
- A heart for customer service — you understand that a patient's experience is just as important as the care they receive
- Warm, professional communication with patients and teammates
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when managing cases and lab work
What You'll Do
- Assist chairside with restorative, cosmetic, and biomimetic procedures
- Support clear aligner (Invisalign/ortho) cases — from records appointments to tracking case progress and patient check-ins
- Take digital impressions using our 3D intraoral scanner and assist with other diagnostic imaging
- Check on lab cases and follow up on outstanding work to keep treatment timelines on track
- Handle key administrative touchpoints — confirming case status, coordinating with labs, and keeping detailed patient records up to date
- Take X-rays and intraoral photos accurately (training available for the right candidate)
- Prepare operatories and ensure instruments and materials are set up with care and precision
- Create a warm, reassuring experience for every patient — from seating to dismissal
- Collaborate with the full team to keep appointments running smoothly and patients feeling genuinely cared for
What We Offer
- A supportive, close-knit team that genuinely invests in each other
- On-the-job training and continuing education opportunities — we grow together
- A practice built around doing dentistry the right way
- Competitive pay based on experience
- A culture where your voice matters, your growth is encouraged, and your work has real meaning
