Chief Development Officer

the client is seeking a Chief Development Officer who will serve as the organization’s lead fundraising strategist and the primary partner to the Dean on philanthropic strategy and alumni engagement. the role will help drive the next chapter of fundraising and alumni engagement by building on institutional momentum to advance the client’s mission and priorities. the Chief Development Officer will lead and manage a team of approximately 50 professionals across major and principal gifts, alumni and corporate relations, foundation relations, advancement services, and strategic communications. the position includes full responsibility for the department’s operating budget and will oversee philanthropic and advancement strategy to strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring senior leadership experience in development and fundraising, along with a strategic approach to partnership-building with philanthropic and alumni audiences. the role is expected to combine high-level operational oversight with thoughtful, mission-focused engagement, helping navigate periods of change while shaping long-term development priorities for a global institution.
