Contract Length: 20 Week/s
Pay Range: 17/Hour - 19.00/Hour
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education. Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and safely, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
- Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
- Complete daily activities accurately and within required timeframes.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information.
- Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy of all information.
- Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Work independently with minimal on-site supervision while maintaining quality standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience; 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Keyboarding and data-entry experience required.
- Retail or service-industry customer service experience preferred.
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
