Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Providing speech-language pathology services within a school setting requires expertise in both in-person and teletherapy approaches, especially when supporting students with diverse needs. This role involves delivering targeted speech services to multiple classrooms serving autistic and learning support students, ensuring each child receives personalized and effective communication support.
Location: York, PA (Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 region)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy to students in 2 Autistic Support classrooms and 1 Learning Support classroom, totaling 56 students ranging from moderate to high needs.
- Utilize onsite speech-language pathology (SLP) services or teletherapy combined with a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide comprehensive care.
- Collaborate closely with educators and support staff within the school environment.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of progress and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology Certification (SLP license).
- Teaching certification valid in Pennsylvania.
- Clinical Fellowship Candidates (CFs) may be considered if the agency covers a $2,000 supervision fee.
- Experience providing teletherapy services, especially in combination with SLPA support.
- Ability to work with students on the autism spectrum and those requiring learning support services.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to onsite or virtual service delivery.
Additional Details:
- Contract position running through the end of May 2027.
- Must comply with PA requirements regarding SLP certification and teaching credentials.
- Virtual-only SLP placements require an SLPA assistant, as the Intermediate Unit will not accept remote SLPs without support staff.
