Machine Operator

Job description

A machine operator sets up, runs, and monitors production equipment to ensure accurate and efficient manufacturing. They are responsible for loading raw materials, adjusting machine settings, conducting routine maintenance, and inspecting finished products for quality control while strictly adhering to workplace safety standards.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Equipment Operation & Setup: Calibrating, installing, and adjusting machine parts to meet production specifications and work orders.
• Quality Assurance: Inspecting finished goods and workpieces for defects using measuring tools like gauges and calipers to ensure they meet company standards.
• Routine Maintenance: Performing basic cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance to prevent mechanical failures and reduce equipment downtime.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving minor machine malfunctions or recalibrating settings when errors occur during a production run.
• Record Keeping: Documenting production data, such as output quantities, material usage, and downtime, in operational logs or digital systems.
• Safety & Compliance: Following all health, safety, and OSHA regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.

12 hour shifts----- Sunday to Tuesday with every other Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday every other Wednesday

Day shift 7am-7pm

Graveyard 7pm-7am
