Job Summary

The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources department while gaining practical experience in HR operations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, HRIS processes, and employee relations. Under the guidance of HR leadership and staff, the intern assists with a variety of HR functions and special projects designed to support organizational goals and enhance the employee experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruiting activities, including posting job openings, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support onboarding activities by preparing new hire materials, assisting with orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of required documentation.
  • Maintain employee records and personnel files in accordance with organizational policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Assist with HRIS data entry, audits, and reporting activities.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
  • Participate in HR projects involving policy updates, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, talent management, diversity efforts, and organizational development.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, reports, training materials, and communications.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support HR programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Help coordinate employee training and development activities.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and direct questions to appropriate HR staff.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, candidate, and organizational information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Minimum Required
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate in:
    • Human Resources
    • Business Administration
    • Management
    • Organizational Leadership
    • Healthcare Administration
    • Related field
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Health Care Administration, or a related field
  • Coursework in Human Resources Management, Employment Law, Organizational Behavior, or Talent Management.
Experience Preferred
  • Previous internship, customer service, administrative, or office experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Basic understanding of human resources principles and practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
