Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite – 5 days/week
Job Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer II to support combustion design engineering projects in Greenville, SC. This position requires strong mechanical design and drafting experience, with hands-on proficiency in Siemens NX and related engineering tools.
This is a fully onsite position at the GE Greenville GTTL Building. Remote or hybrid work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify mechanical designs using Siemens NX, including Mechanical and Routing modules.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings and Product Manufacturing Information (PMI).
- Apply GD&T, drafting standards, and fundamental tolerance stack-up principles.
- Work with PLM systems to manage engineering designs and documentation.
- Support design analysis and engineering activities using ANSYS Classic.
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to support combustion design projects.
- Ensure designs and documentation meet applicable engineering and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant mechanical design engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens NX.
- Experience with NX Mechanical and/or Routing modules.
- Experience with PMI and mechanical drafting.
- Knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards, and tolerance stack-ups.
- Experience with PLM systems.
- Experience with ANSYS Classic.
- Strong mechanical design and engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Greenville, SC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in combustion, power generation, turbomachinery, or related engineering environments.
- Experience with mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience working with complex mechanical assemblies and engineering documentation.
Interview & Work Requirements
- In-person interview is required for this position and may take approximately 4 hours.
- Contractors must work 5 days per week onsite at the GE Greenville GTTL Building.
- Remote or partial-flex work arrangements are not available.
- Standard work schedule is 40 hours per week with no overtime expected.
Qualified candidates with strong Siemens NX, PMI/Drafting, GD&T, PLM, and ANSYS Classic experience are encouraged to apply.
