Mechanical Engineer
PART I: Company Information

The components found on our automation are manufactured at our facility in Waukesha, WI. Our reputation for building machines that are reliable, durable and innovative develops customer loyalty. The industries we serve include Aggregate, Agriculture, Cement, Dredging, Girder Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Steel Mills. Our equipment is used for hard facing, metal build-up, thermal arc Spray and Plasma Transferred Arc.
PART II: Job Summary
As a Mechanical Engineer you will take designs from concepts to production. Working closely with the Electrical Engineer and shop personnel you will complete final component designs utilizing SolidWorks 3D. With experience your role will grow to take on greater responsibility including full machine documentation including BOM, cost and machine manual development. This position is expected to grow into the lead person and possible face of the company with occasional travel to assess future projects. As the knowledge expert the candidate will oversee the assembly process ensuring the final product meets the design specifications and quality requirements.
PART III: Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following are the specific job responsibilities.
· Take concept designs to final 3D parts and assemblies including mechanical and control systems
· Generate documentation to communicate design to the factory for production
· Perform project management of machines in collaboration with the Operations Lead
· Collaborate on designs with the engineering manager for the development of new products.
· Test control, debug and participate in machine check out with the controls engineering to ensure the machine performs to the specification
· Produce final machine manual including instruction for machine function and part documentation
· Interface with customers during the quoting process and assist with troubleshooting of product in the field.
· With experience, develop costs for machine quotation process
· With experience, develop quotations for new machine projects
PART IV: Education Experience
This role minimally requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years related experience while recent graduates will be considered. Incumbents must demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and be goal driven and results oriented. Must be able to perform work requiring electronic and mechanical theories and principles. A strong customer focus is a must as this position will represent the company when directly interacting with customers. Occasional travel is required for machine installation, may include international.
PART V: Training
The position is available due to growth in the company. Additional education will be provided as needed.
