Office Manager / Payroll Administrator — JC LawMaryland | Multi-State Firm (MD, VA, PA, DC)

We're looking for an Office Manager / Payroll Administrator who wants to be the operational heartbeat of a firm in motion. This isn't a paperwork seat. It's a leadership role for someone who takes pride in running a tight ship, loves people, and gets energy from making things work. Travel is Involved!

What you'll own:

• Day-to-day operations across multiple offices — keeping each location running smoothly
• Full payroll administration — accurate, on time, every time
• HR functions and employee lifecycle support — onboarding, records, conflict resolution, culture
• Office supplies, vendor relationships, and inventory across all locations
• Coordination of events that recognize and celebrate our team
• Implementation and reinforcement of JC Law's culture, values, and policies
• Administrative oversight — making sure nothing falls through the cracks anywhere in the firm

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years prior experience in office management with an HR / SHRM background
• 5+ years of payroll experience (non-negotiable)
• Strong IT comfort — extensive Microsoft Office knowledge, ability to adapt to new platforms quickly
• Proven experience in managing employees and resolving conflicts with maturity
• College degree or higher
• Solid grasp of basic accounting and business management
• Advanced computer skills
• Strong leadership presence — people respect you because you do the work and do it well
