Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mental Health Counselor at Wellpath, you will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine each patient’s needs and treatment goals.
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans based on individual case evaluations.
- Facilitate regular therapy sessions to provide ongoing support, employing various evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track progress and treatment changes.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists when appropriate, to provide holistic care.
- Engage in crisis intervention when necessary, employing strong de-escalation techniques to maintain patient safety and well-being.
In this role, you will work with a varied clientele, including individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our patient-centric approach aims to empower clients by offering them resources and coping strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. Your ability to connect with individuals from various backgrounds will be crucial in facilitating trust and effective therapeutic alliances.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of New York.
- At least two years of related experience, showcasing a solid track record in mental health counseling.
- A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, coupled with cultural competence.
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for effective patient management.
While we welcome various backgrounds, candidates with experience in delivering culturally responsive individual and group therapy, as well as a proven ability to manage crisis situations, will be prioritised. Familiarity with specific therapies, such as CBT or DBT, is also advantageous.
Compensation and BenefitsIn recognition of your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
