Position Overview

Great Valley Psychotherapy is actively seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will work remotely as a behavioral health consultant within the Primary Care Mental Health Integration (PCMHI) framework. Your expertise will aid in providing high-quality, evidence-based interventions and consultations to both Veterans and Primary Care Providers (PCPs) as part of an interdisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience, plus a sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake assessments and identify problems to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Utilize the latest version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM) to inform diagnoses and treatment goals.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy, implementing therapeutic interventions that are culturally sensitive and tailored to the needs of diverse clients.
  • Engage in continuous evaluation and follow-up to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team, contributing insights and fostering relationships that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation using telehealth platforms and electronic health records.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to ensure compliance with current best practices and ethical standards in mental health counseling.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LMHC role at Great Valley Psychotherapy focuses primarily on adults and Veterans dealing with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Your approach will be informed by awareness of the unique contexts and experiences of these populations, facilitating life-changing support and interventions.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working directly with psychiatric patients or individuals with substance abuse concerns.
  • Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and individual/group therapy methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a telehealth and technology-driven environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience providing psychological services within a primary care or outpatient setting.
