Work Environment

This position will allow you to work remotely while being an essential part of our outpatients' multidisciplinary team. You will maintain a flexible schedule conducive to achieving work-life balance, with standard business hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:



  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms and formulating individualized treatment plans.

  • Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address the unique needs of each client.

  • Educating clients and their families about mood disorders to enhance understanding and compliance with treatment protocols.

  • Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive treatment strategy, enhancing continuity of care.

  • Monitoring client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting therapeutic strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.

  • Maintaining detailed and confidential records of sessions, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards.

  • Participating in professional development activities, including team meetings and case consultations, to stay cognizant of best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:



  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • A valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Georgia.

  • A demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatments for mood disorders.

  • Strong communication skills that enable you to build trust and rapport with diverse clients.

  • A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and an ability to work alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in outpatient settings, particularly with mood disorders, will greatly enhance your candidacy. A track record of achieving successful treatment outcomes through the application of various therapeutic models is also preferred, along with familiarity with integrated treatment practices. Prior experience in a remote counseling environment is a plus, as it demonstrates adaptability in delivering effective care from a distance.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000.
