Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, utilizing cutting-edge telemedicine technologies to provide services. You will engage with clients from the comfort of their homes while maintaining a professional and collegial atmosphere. Full-time employees typically work Monday through Friday for eight hours a day, while part-time staff can customize their schedules to accommodate personal commitments and team needs. Notably, our practice is dedicated to a work-life balance and does not require weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans that address individual client needs.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, contributing to a seamless flow of patient information.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care is provided, engaging in case reviews and strategy discussions as necessary.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health, participating in regular professional development workshops and trainings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. As an LPC at Unity Point, you will work with individuals from various backgrounds, providing culturally sensitive counseling that promotes healing and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut.
  • At least two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with clients and families.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software and related technologies to manage client information efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples counseling, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse treatment is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a telehealth setting can enhance your potential for success in this role.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 per year, complemented by a generous bonus structure.
