Work Environment

This position is designed to accommodate a remote work model, enabling counselors to conduct sessions and engage with clients in a flexible and comfortable environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and family therapy as a means of promoting interpersonal skills and emotional awareness among participants.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for all clients, contributing to case management discussions and treatment strategy formulation.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate clinical records, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards while upholding client confidentiality.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development through attending workshops, training sessions, and staying updated on the latest advancements in mental health research and practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse client population, including individuals, families, couples, and groups who may be experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Our focus is particularly geared towards those with limited access to mental health care, ensuring that our services are impactful, accessible, and aligned with community needs. Clients may present with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other emotional difficulties.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience is required, preferably in a clinical setting.

  • Strong knowledge of legal and ethical counseling practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with a diverse clientele.

  • Experience collaborating within a healthcare team to optimize client outcomes.

  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related technologies.

Preferred Experience

  • Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use counseling is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with underserved populations or in community mental health settings is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000, contingent on experience and client caseload.
