Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Remote Opportunities in Austin, TX

Allure Counseling Center is actively seeking a compassionate and culturally competent Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. This full-time remote position is ideal for mental health professionals who are committed to delivering effective, culturally sensitive therapy to diverse populations. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the mental well-being of our clients while working within a supportive and innovative community health clinic.

Located in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, Allure Counseling Center is a multicultural outpatient psychiatry practice specializing in comprehensive mental health services. Our focus is on providing inclusive care to varied communities, including ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while being part of a larger team that values collaboration and professional growth. You will operate within a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility to adjust for patient needs.

• Conduct comprehensive, culturally informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ unique experiences, concerns, and treatment needs.


• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques, respecting and integrating clients’ cultural backgrounds.


• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a range of mental health issues with empathy and effectiveness.


• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to enhance collaborative treatment approaches.


• Provide crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health challenges, offering immediate support and stabilization.


• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to them for additional support.


• Maintain meticulous client records in compliance with ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to legal requirements.


• Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing cultural competency training sessions to enhance therapeutic practices.


• Stay current with developments in mental health therapy, including new research, methodologies, and culturally relevant treatment strategies.

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.


• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of Texas.


• A demonstrated commitment to cultural competence in therapy, with an understanding of various mental health disorders and treatment approaches.


• Experience in providing individual and group therapy that reflects an inclusive and culturally responsive methodology.


• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations with a calm demeanor.


• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.


• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.


• A commitment to ethical practice, professional boundaries, and the confidentiality of all patient interactions.

• Experience working in community health settings or outpatient mental health clinics.


• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.


• Previous experience working with multicultural populations is highly valued.
