Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide therapeutic treatment to clients using a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

  • Create and maintain comprehensive treatment plans and documentation in compliance with agency policies and relevant state and federal regulations.

  • Engage in weekly supervision sessions with your clinical director or supervisor to ensure the highest quality of care and personal growth as a therapist.

  • Facilitate group and family therapy sessions, conducting skill-building exercises that empower clients to build resilience and cope effectively with mental health challenges.

  • Collaborate closely with other health professionals within the organization to develop integrated care plans that address overlapping medical and mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on child and adolescent clients and their families, helping them to navigate challenges related to mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. You will also have cross-training opportunities to work with adult clients, expanding your skill set and versatility as a mental health professional.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in counseling or social work are preferred.

  • Active and unrestricted professional licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT) in the state of Texas is mandatory.

  • At least 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly in a clinical environment, is required for this role.

  • A solid understanding of ethical and legal standards pertinent to mental health practice is essential.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in specialized areas such as family therapy, trauma-informed care, and substance use counseling is highly valued.

  • Familiarity with telehealth methodologies and tools will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
