Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to gauge each client’s history related to substance abuse, mental health challenges, and specific treatment requirements.
- Develop customized treatment plans that effectively address the complexities of addiction alongside underlying mental health concerns.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- Collaborate closely with a diverse treatment team, including physicians and case managers, to provide integrated care that accounts for each client’s comprehensive needs.
- Educate and support the families of clients, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the recovery process, thereby fostering a strong support network.
- Document all client interactions accurately and securely in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in case management.
The clients you will work with at Neurodiversity Dialectical Behavior Therapy encompass a wide array of individuals facing issues related to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. These may include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Your role as a Mental Health Counselor is to provide compassionate, non-judgmental care aimed at empowering clients toward recovery and healthy coping mechanisms.
Qualifications- A current and valid mental health license, such as Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.
- Specialized training or significant experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment methodologies.
- A thorough understanding of evidence-based practices especially relevant to substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with clients and appropriate communication skills for effective teamwork within the treatment environment.
- We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
