Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate psychological well-being, identifying key areas of concern and determining individualized treatment pathways.
  • Design, implement, and regularly update comprehensive treatment plans that reflect specific patient needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at fostering emotional well-being, personal development, and effective coping skills.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and holistic patient care for optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Provide immediate assistance during crises, offering critical support and interventions during mental health emergencies.
  • Educate patients and families on mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in the recovery process.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in case conferences and team meetings to share insights, align on treatment approaches, and discuss ongoing professional development.
  • Stay abreast of current research and advancements in mental health practices to continually enhance delivery of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse adult populations who present with a range of mental health disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current and valid professional license as an LCMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland is essential.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment techniques, and a trauma-informed approach.
  • Proficiency in assessing mental health needs, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans is required.
  • Ability to deliver both individual and group therapy effectively using a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to patient needs.
  • Demonstrated crisis intervention skills alongside the capability to remain composed during high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and foster therapeutic relationships with patients.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and patient management.
  • A collaborative spirit while respecting professional boundaries and ethical standards.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting that involves direct patient care is preferred.
  • Experience in Telehealth services is advantageous, enhancing your capability to engage effectively with patients remotely.
  • Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities are a plus.
