Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to provide therapy and support to clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining flexibility in your work schedule. The role typically requires availability from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening sessions to accommodate client needs. Our telehealth service utilizes advanced digital platforms that ensure seamless communication and interaction with patients, maintaining adherence to confidentiality and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological well-being, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique needs, incorporating evidence-based practices and collaborative feedback from clients.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions through individual and group therapy using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that promote emotional expression, peer support, and skill-building in coping mechanisms.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care and effective treatment planning for patients.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies during mental health emergencies, providing immediate support and stabilization to clients in need.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources, thereby enhancing their understanding and engagement in their own care.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of sessions in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines while using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Participate actively in case conferences, peer supervision, and professional development workshops to further cultivate skills and knowledge.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and regulatory changes in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counselor at Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including those experiencing anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and more. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing their emotional resilience and quality of life. The telehealth environment allows for broad outreach, enabling you to connect with clients who may have limitations in accessing traditional in-office therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in assessing mental health disorders and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telecommunication platforms.
Preferred Experience
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant mental health field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment modalities is highly desired.
