Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate client concerns, collaboratively developing tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques that address the unique needs of each client.
• Offer crisis intervention services for clients in distress, employing immediate assessment and support strategies to ensure client safety and emotional stability.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions in accordance with ethical guidelines and local regulations, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by actively participating in training opportunities to remain current with best practices in mental health counseling.
• Collaborate with other practitioners to coordinate care, fostering a multidisciplinary team approach to enhance client outcomes.
• Contribute thoughtful insights towards program development initiatives aimed at improving service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Regularly review and apply the latest research, trends, and methodologies within the field of mental health counseling to inform therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health counselor at Good Life Psychological Services, you will primarily work with clients from various backgrounds, each facing unique emotional and psychological challenges. Our diverse patient population includes individuals coping with stressors related to personal relationships, trauma, depression, and anxiety. You will be instrumental in providing a safe space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working towards their mental health goals.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Maryland.
• Strong commitment to cultural competence, inclusivity, and providing affirming care to clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in providing counseling services to individuals facing emotional challenges is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is an asset that will enhance your efficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
• Experience working with both individuals and families, demonstrating an ability to establish rapport quickly and effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting your professional expertise and contributions to the organization. Full-time counselors are eligible for a monthly healthcare stipend and enjoy complimentary access to our platform's services as clients while actively employed.
