Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate client needs, concerns, and mental health status, ensuring a tailored approach to treatment.
• Facilitate engaging and therapeutic one-on-one counseling sessions employing evidence-based techniques that resonate with each client's specific context.
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff, to coordinate care plans that promote holistic support for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients facing immediate emotional distress, ensuring their safety and well-being while navigating their challenges.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Participate actively in regular training sessions, workshops, and meetings to stay informed about industry trends and evolving therapeutic methodologies.
• Contribute innovative ideas for program development and improvement initiatives that align with the clinic’s mission of providing superior mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Mental Health Counselor at Good Life Psychological Services will involve working with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to empower clients from various backgrounds, facilitating their path towards stability and resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Possess current licensure as an LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in providing counseling services to individuals, families, and couples is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is an added advantage, enhancing efficiency in client record management.
• A demonstrated history of employing inclusive and culturally competent therapeutic practices that affirm and respect client identity.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, reflecting your experience and expertise. In addition to this, full-time employees receive a monthly healthcare stipend to support their health and wellness.
