Position Overview

MarinHealth Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough individual and family therapy assessments, developing tailored treatment plans that align with the therapeutic goals of each patient.
  • Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions as scheduled, encouraging participation and fostering a sense of community among attendees.
  • Establish and nurture therapeutic relationships with patients, demonstrating empathy while maintaining professional boundaries to support effective treatment.
  • Utilize knowledge of cross-cultural issues to adapt therapeutic approaches that resonate with diverse patient backgrounds, enhancing their engagement in the therapeutic process.
  • Meet regularly with individual patients to conduct psychosocial assessments, provide ongoing therapy, and evaluate treatment progress, ensuring consistency and responsiveness to patient needs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position requires working with a diverse client population within the community health landscape. The LMFT will engage with individuals from various backgrounds, addressing a wide range of DSM diagnoses. The focus will be on delivering culturally competent care that respects and incorporates the unique experiences and perspectives of each client, thereby fostering effective therapeutic alliances.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and active LMFT license in California, with no disciplinary actions currently pending.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role within an outpatient therapeutic setting, contributing to patient care and team dynamics.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills that enhance the therapeutic environment and promote positive patient interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or similar therapeutic approaches is preferred, as it aligns with our aim of integrating holistic practices into our therapeutic offerings.
  • Prior involvement in community health initiatives that emphasize inclusive approaches to mental health care delivery.
Compensation and Benefits
