Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize electronic health record systems for timely and accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and session notes, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment to students dealing with behavioral issues, emergencies, or safety concerns, developing actionable safety plans in conjunction with parents and school officials.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse student population ranging from elementary through high school. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving their mental health outcomes by addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. • Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health or outpatient care setting, particularly with children and adolescents.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices and a commitment to continuous learning and application of new treatment methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to create trusting relationships with clients, families, and collaterals.
Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is the minimum requirement, we prefer candidates with experience working in educational settings or those who have an understanding of the school system. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is also advantageous.
