Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to comprehensively evaluate students' mental health concerns, using standardized tools and individualized methodologies to inform treatment planning.
  • Design and implement evidence-based individual therapy sessions, adapting interventions to each student's unique circumstances and preferences, promoting overall wellness and academic success.
  • Collaborate with students to establish clear therapeutic goals, consistently reviewing progress and adjusting treatment strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Provide virtual therapy sessions to accommodate students with varying accessibility needs, ensuring we remain committed to equitable mental health support.
  • Document client interactions meticulously, maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation meetings, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role centers on working with school-aged children and adolescents who may be facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral or emotional difficulties. By utilizing a strengths-based approach, you will help students navigate their mental health landscape, providing them with the tools they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license in Texas as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; a master's or doctoral degree is preferred and an advantage.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting and effective relationships with students, families, and educational personnel.
  • A deep sense of empathy and a non-judgmental approach to client interactions, fostering a healing environment.
  • Organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively while ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Preferred Experience

Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings is highly valued. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and online therapy modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this remote role. Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and crisis intervention techniques is advantageous.
