Work Environment

The work schedule typically runs Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts dictated by patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific needs and objectives of patients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Craft personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring alignment with each individual's recovery goals.
• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions, utilizing methods such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to effectively support patient progress.
• Lead group therapy sessions that foster community and shared experiences, enhancing the recovery process for all participants.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, coordinated care for each patient.
• Administer crisis intervention techniques and support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate assistance when needed.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction treatment, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources, empowering them on their journey toward wellness.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring a seamless treatment experience for patients.
• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development activities, contributing insights and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay informed about advancements in the field of substance use disorder treatment, ensuring that you apply the most effective practices in your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals suffering from substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and prescription drug dependencies. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of our patients require a compassionate, non-judgmental approach that recognizes the unique challenges associated with addiction. You will support individuals and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of recovery in a safe and understanding environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Arizona.
• Extensive knowledge of substance use disorders, their treatment modalities, and principles of recovery-oriented care.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy, particularly within an addiction treatment framework.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, showcasing a non-judgmental, empathetic attitude toward patients.
• Strong adherence to professional guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality and safeguarding ethical boundaries.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While candidates with two years of relevant experience are required, those with advanced specialized training or certifications in addiction treatment will be given preference. Experience in a community health setting or exposure to a diverse patient demographic will enhance your fit for the role.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 – $100,000 per year, with opportunities for bonuses as part of a rewarding compensation package.
