Key Responsibilities- Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each student, informed by thorough clinical assessments.
- Engage actively in multi-disciplinary team meetings to share insights and collaboratively refine care strategies for students.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate student progress, modifying treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for student needs and support their academic and personal development.
- Document all client interactions and treatment progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
This role is focused on providing social work services to a diverse student population in a school setting, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and trauma. Our ideal candidate will understand the unique challenges faced by students and will be skilled in building rapport with children and adolescents, as well as effectively collaborating with their families and educational staff to foster holistic support.
Qualifications- Must hold a current and valid LICSW license.
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of two years' experience in a clinical social work setting, preferably with school-aged children.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills, necessary for effective counseling and consulting with students, families, and educational professionals.
- Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and devise effective treatment plans.
- Proficient in coaching techniques, encouraging students to cultivate positive behavioral changes.
- Experience working in educational settings, particularly with student populations experiencing mental health challenges.
- Familiarity with multi-disciplinary treatment approaches and collaboration with various stakeholders in a school environment.
- Knowledge of local community resources available to students and families to enhance the support network.
