Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Designing and implementing customized therapeutic interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address various mental health concerns.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; a master's or doctoral degree is preferred.
• At least two years of direct experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a track record of successful client outcomes.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices relevant to diverse mental health disorders.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and families throughout their therapeutic journey.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a hospice or palliative care setting is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with tools and methodologies specific to grief counseling and end-of-life issues. Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and trauma-informed care approaches will be considered a strong asset.
