Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized treatment plans. You’ll play a key role in creating crisis intervention strategies, risk assessments, and behavior modification plans.
- Documentation: Complete necessary documentation within regulatory timelines, ensuring compliance with both clinic and external regulatory standards.
- Collaborative Support: Work closely with our clinical team to implement positive behavior support plans and engage in ongoing care management for clients.
- Liaison Duties: Act as a bridge between clients and relevant service systems, helping to strengthen partnerships with state agencies and community organizations.
- Professional Development: Commit to continuous personal and professional growth by attending training sessions, conferences, and participating in statewide meetings that align with your expertise.
- Advocate for the Agency: Promote South Coast Medical Clinic’s mission and values within the community, pursuing opportunities to expand outreach and secure funding.
- Adaptive Responsibilities: Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by the clinic director, contributing to a collaborative and responsive team environment.
In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and transition issues associated with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Your approach will be guided by a commitment to fostering a supportive environment, tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Qualifications- A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
- An Independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential is mandatory for this position.
- Previous experience in telehealth counseling or remote therapy services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatment models tailored to diverse populations.
