Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Group Therapy: Lead engaging group therapy sessions where clients can connect, share experiences, and grow collectively.
  • Individual Counseling: Provide tailored, empathetic support to each client by exploring their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to develop effective coping strategies.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to establish individualized treatment plans that set clear goals and objectives, addressing their unique needs and preferences.
  • Progress Monitoring: Utilize assessment tools and gather client feedback to track progress, ensuring clients are moving toward their therapeutic goals.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to coordinate care, participate in case consultations, and share insights for optimizing client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on young adults aged 18 to 30 in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Our clients often face a myriad of challenges related to mental health, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. As a counselor, you will have the unique opportunity to help these young adults navigate their struggles, empower them with coping mechanisms, and support their path to healing and self-discovery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current and valid License as a Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a treatment team, demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous counseling experience in mental health settings, specifically with young adults.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and approaches.
  • Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions.
  • Proven ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on client assessment.
Compensation and Benefits
